Leopard now sports 512 bit pixel icons and, as pointed out by MacFormat, you can easily zoom in on them and see all of the tiny details. (Click on the above photo for slightly a larger view)
Ever wonder what the text in the Text Icon says? Well, now you can easily zoom in and read the text and see for yourself!
Icons have really come a long, long way since the early days of the Macintosh. This change started, of course, with Mac OS X Cheetah, the first available release of OS X back in 2001. I remember how gorgeous they looked way back then, but now, how much more so.
When I think of Leopards new icons I can just imagine Billy Crystal saying, "Your looking marvelous, just marvelous!"
And thats my 2 cents on the new Leopard icon's 4 Tuesday, October 30, 2007.
