Proof of Upcoming New 3G iPhone's for June?

A G3 iPhone has been speculated by many people to be coming soon, but now, the one man, other than Steve Jobs himself, and the one man outside of Apple who most likely has any inside information and should know, Walt Mossberg, has let it slip, at a Beet.tv executive meeting, that come June, or about sixty days from now, Apple will finally unveil the real iPhone, the G3 version.

Well, if it's coming from Walt, than as far as I'm concerned that's is sufficient proof to me that the G3 iPhone is indeed definitely coming, because Walt is one of the very few journalists that Apple confides in, so I'm pretty sure that we will see it come this June. In fact, and you can take this with a grain of salt, some are even posting so called spy shots (below) of the new G3 equipped iPhone.


Naturally, many people are speculating about any new features that could be added to the G3 iPhone. Apple, after all, simply can't rest on it's laurels as it's' competitor's are coming out with their own iPhone like devices such as the LG Vue and others which are pretty spiffy. For some, a tactile keyboard is really important and maybe, just maybe, that is why the "spy" photo looks a little fatter? The touch screen keyboard is nice, but many need and want the actual keyboard, so I think that Apple should supply one - after all, the customer is always right, right?

Since it's so much fun to speculate, I like others, are speculating that a real GPS system will be integrated into the next iPhone. Taking cue from some of the new iPhone want-to-be's, television playback would also be a nice touch, but not essential. After all, LG is providing it, why not Apple? Like some, I would love to see an OLED screen. This would be great both for viewing and for power savings. OLED's are rather expensive at the moment, but the price, as it always does, is coming down and I think that it won't be long before it's standard pretty much across the board. I'm not sure what advantages a plasma display would have over an OLED screen, but others are predicting that may be another possibility for mobiles.

One thing is now sure, thanks to the iPhone's SDK, we can expect the iPhone, both the present and future models, will be turned into a major, first class, gaming device and one that will not only equal both the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP, but in actuality, supersede them in gaming quality and functionality! I've seen demos of some pretty amazing games running on the iPhone, including, believe it or not, Quake - and they all look absolutely amazing to boot!

Another thing that people are looking for, and I think it is coming and coming soon, but not necessarily this June, is a whole range of models and at various price points. I think that you will see a whole range of iPhone models from a simple basic iPhone, all the way up to some deluxe models with every conceivable feature and functionality that you could dream of.

So, in conclusion, thanks to Walt Mossberg, I'm 100 % certain that we will see the long rumored G3 iPhone sometime this June. If not, I won't promise to eat my hat or anything (I don't own any hats) but I will say that it's definitely coming. After all, the supply of existing iPhone's are getting pretty scarce, a sure sign of any new Apple product, and coupled with the fact that they are cutting existing iPhone prices in Germany, and also coupled with Walt's slip up, it's more than enough proof for me, so, all I will say is:

"Get your wallets ready, because the new G3 iPhone is definitely on it's way for June!
