My Last Words On The iPhone's "Death-Grip Issue .... I Hope?

As you can see in the above YouTube clip, Steve Wozniak has finally come out to give us his 2 cents on the so-called "Antenna Gate" controversy that has recently plagued the new iPhone 4. As far as he is concerned, in a few words:

"It's all overblown!"

It's just not the opinion of Apple's illustrious cofounder either. Most importantly, in a recent ChangeWave survey, as noted by InvestorPlace.com, the iPhone 4's reception problems are overblown and are NOT significantly impacting the people who should know and matter the most... its actual users! According to their recent survey, the actual facts are quite remarkable and quite opposite to what has been widely reported by the media.

Yes, in spite of all of the negative press surrounding the so-called iPhone reception issues and its now infamous "death-grip" the overall satisfaction rate for the iPhone 4 is overwhelmingly positive by the people who matter, as I've said, the most... its users. True, as might be expected, the bad press has indeed helped to lower its overall satisfaction rating but not anywhere near as much as people assumed it would.

Just as I thought, and I have long believed, it was the bias of the media and the efforts of Apple's competitor's that really helped to over blow the iPhone 4's reception issues, and, in conclusion, I agree 100% with InvestorPlace.com who sated in their bottom line:

"Despite the waves of controversy that surrounded the iPhone 4 within days of its launch, the latest Apple release is outperforming almost every other smart phone in the industry in terms of overall customer satisfaction and meeting owners’ expectations.

While one-in-five iPhone 4 owners do say the antenna has caused them problems, by an overwhelming margin they are satisfied with Apple’s solution.

And in reality, iPhone 4 owners report experiencing fewer dropped calls than do iPhone 3GS owners."

In conclusion, that's my very last words on the iPhone 4's so-called "death-grip" issue..... I hope?

And that's my 2 cents 4 this Thursday, August 05, 2010
