Video-4-The-Week: An Unearthly View Of The Earth

El Cielo de Canarias / Canary sky - Tenerife from Daniel López on Vimeo.

Today's post will be a little different, it's an 'unearthly' view of the earth, and specifically a time-lap view of the hauntingly beautiful Canary Islands, so be sure to view it in full-screen mode for dramatic effect, the earth as you may have never witnessed it.

From my perspective , after viewing this video, it almost seemed as if I was on some mysterious and enchanting far-off planet in the far flung reaches of the galaxy, so let's just call it the 'Planet of the Canaries' for the moment, even though no canaries can actually be seen in the video.

There may be no actual canaries flying around in this amazing video, but what we do see is an absolutely enchanting and utterly amazing view of clouds weaving majestically in-and-out between the mountain tops like the rise and fall of a mighty ocean, and virtually breath taking, as they dance silently and as gracefully as any ballet dancer ever could. Ah, it's almost as beautiful as a fall morning in Baden-Württemberg, or Bavaria, in equally beautiful, if not more so, Germany!

So, in conclusion, what ever you do, please view the above dream-like video in full-screen mode and dream on.

And that's my 2 cents 4 this Friday, May 20, 2011
