Ok, now we all know, you know, that Microsoft is one hell of a big business, with big, big revenues, like some $20 billion dollars big in the past three months alone.
And yes, we all know how big Windows is, how big Microsoft's Office is, and just how big the Xbox is, etc., etc., but guess what we didn't know?
What we didn't know was was this, ...... just how small Microsoft's big, big revenues actually are when we compare them to one little wee device.... the iPhone, a device who's revenues are now way bigger than for all of Microsoft revenues combined...... yes, including for all of the products listed above!
Whoa... are you kidding me, you might ask?
Nope, not at all.
As Joe Wilcox recently discovered , buried within Apple's recent and mammoth quarter results was the astounding fact that the little, itty, bitty iPhone, and all by its little old lonesome self, now generates billions of dollars more revenue than for all of Microsoft's products combined..... some $24 billion plus for the iPhone as compared to a little over $20 billion for Microsoft's and its many products!
For crying out pizza with anchovies and mustard sauce, in conclusion, I must say I find that about as mind blowing as any mind-bending drug out there, and like did anyone see that coming? I sure as hell didn't, and with rumors of the iPhone 5, complete with a larger screen, coming out as soon as this very summer, I can only imagine what's going to happen next.
